This week was a big one for Paramore because they breathed the same air as ME, their best and most gorgeous fan. No but really, what an eventful week to kick off this series! I’m planning on doing this every week to catch you up on funny/fun/important shit that Paramore and their fans have been up to.
Here’s what happened in Paramore World this last week
Paramore ended their first tour since 2018 on Friday, November 25, in Omaha, NE (their last live show that we know of before their album This Is Why comes out). They’ll head back out in the spring for South American and Europe dates before coming back to the States for a summer tour.
Paramore have yet to release (or announce the date of the release for) their upcoming single, “The News.” Since they’ve been teasing it, fans thought they might play it at one of their final shows on this tour, but no cigar.
Hayley made her TikTok debut on touring bassist Joey Howard’s account. Paramore’s IG account posted a link to the TikTok post on their story, with link anchor text that said “Merry Christmas record label” LOL. God can you imagine being the marketing intern at Atlantic who has to pester PARAMORE to make content????
(Also, hilarious to me to see prominent Twitter stans reposting this in complete lack of self-awareness that they are [I assume, by the inclusion of “Twitter” on a list of reasons they don’t want to leave the house] being roasted.)
The band had good things to say about this last run of shows.
November 26 was the birthday of Justin York, older brother of guitarist Taylor York, who was a touring guitarist off and on for Paramore for many years (as well as a part of Relient K at one point). And, I learned this week, Katy Perry’s first boyfriend.
Can we get a little commotion for my personal favorite Hayley outfit of this tour??? Maybe I should devote a whole other email to her outfits this tour because there have been a lot of dope ones. But this fit wins, for me - 11/24 (I think) for a music fest in Mexico City.
A truck driver who worked on their tour had some nice things to say.
Taylor fulfilled the prophecy.
Zac commented “Best Paramore yet” on the band’s account’s most recent Instagram post. :’)
That’s all for this week! Thanks for reading.

How many days til This Is Why comes out? I’m glad you asked:
