A very happy Paramore album release week to all those who celebrate!
I’m actually in Nashville AS WE SPEAK, drinking overpriced drip coffee from a brand-name shop overrun by men cosplaying Mumford and Sons. Tomorrow, I’ll see Paramore live for my fourth time ever as they put on an album debut event for This Is Why, which officially comes out this next Friday.
If you read my (extremely mopey) post the other day, thanks. It’s not easy to shift out of survival mode and back into writing mode, and processing it here was my attempt. The only way out is through—and I’m still in it if y’all are.
So, anyway, what’s new with Paramore as they prepare to send their 6th album into the world?

For those who can’t be there, there are dozens of release events all over the world, mostly at local record shops. Find yours here!! I’m a bit sad to be missing the one at End of an Ear, which is my fave Austin record store, but it’s because I’ll be on a plane back from the show, so I can’t complain too much.
My sister got me a Rolling Stone year subscription for Christmas, and this month’s (yes, the one with boygenius on the cover!!) has a GORGEOUS illustration of Paramore alongside their album review (written by Brittany Spanos, Paramore correspondent at RS and my one true rival. Ahaha just kidding… unless!). I only took a quick glance because I’m VERY dedicated to not reading any reviews before I hear it myself—but I highly recommend taking a look! This tweet has it.

This Guardian feature was fun—about stuff Hayley is digging right now. I totally forgot they played shows with Janelle Monáe in 2009! I was so confused by that at the time hahah.
Funny tweets and stuff
I can’t believe Zac has been back in Paramore for SIX WHOLE YEARS! So their lineup has been the same for 6 years now—that’s like 100 in Paramore lineup years. I remember when they announced he was back on board and it felt like a longtime fan’s dream come true. These three have been pals since they were in middle school. Cheers to many more years of their friendship and making music together!
That’s all the news that’s fit to print, for now. I’ll let y’all know how the concert is!
