• Happy holidays! There are several holidays that happen right around this time of year, none of which are nearly as important as December 23, titular date of “12.23.95,” one of the saddest and best and most beautiful songs from Jimmy Eat World’s album Clarity. Christmas is sad—Paramore’s favorite band Jimmy Eat World said so!

• Taylor York—Paramore guitarist, savior of the band, and boyfriend of Hayley Williams—turned 33 last week! Hayley posted this cute pic of them that made me scream.

• Idk what this was all about but it felt worthy of a mention here:

Steve Lacy shares his love for Paramore for The Guardian: "When I was growing up playing Guitar Hero, I got to know a lot of rock and guitar music. I was raised by artists like Paramore. Hayley's voice and melodies are just crazy 'cause she takes rock and makes it soulful."

• Apparently the 17th (in addition to being Taylor’s birthday) is also the anniversary of Hayley’s move from her original hometown in Mississippi, to Franklin, TN. (I promise I saw this on Twitter and didn’t just know that off the top of my head.)

• To end today’s roundup, here’s a funny lil audio clip of the 2009 Paramore lineup singing Christmas songs together. Josh and Zac Farro left the band RIGHT after this was recorded -

can’t find a good screenshot of her 2018 tweet explaining it but - “honestly weren’t hammered... we were about to lose 2 members of the band and we knew it and we were just delirious with sadness, love, anger and a very obvious possession of the christmas spirit.”
