One of my college students greeted me last week by telling me the highlight of her summer was seeing Paramore headline a festival on the beach in New Jersey. I also took my teen and preteen daughters to Van's Warped tours consecutive summers 2005-2006. They didn't want to hang around with me (of course), so missed out on meeting Joan Jett, who invited me to cool off in her trailer.
